Phish — Burlington, VT (10/15/1986)
December 4, 2008
To me, this is the first show where Phish just took off and you can just tell that they have the chops to go places. Not coincidentally, this is Paul Languedoc’s first show as soundman. You will hear snatches of future songs embedded in other songs and this is the show in which Trey takes us on a tour through the supermarket in “Roll Like A Cantaloupe”. This is an essential pre-’87 show in any Phish collection.
